If only..

"Miss Mayella, I am going to ask you once more. Does your father beat you?" -bang,bang,pow,pow- A silence shuts the courtroom as everyone is still and sees Tom Robinson at the desk bleeding with shots in his chest.
"The case was just about to be cracked!" yelled Jem.
"What happened Jem, I cant see anything from up here".
"They shot Tom" said Jem. The courtroom is still in a silence when people see Bob Ewell standing with a gun in his hand dripping sweat from his forehead. The courtroom went from dead silence to an erruption of fear and comotion as Bob points the gun towards Atticus and threatens to shot if anyone follows him and Mayella to flee. The pastor from the black church describes to Jem and scout exactly what is happening although scout doesent comprehend much of it.
"Tom Robinson has been wrongly accused of beating Mayella, it was her father! Bob and Mayella escape through the courtroom doors in shame for lieing infront of all these people of Maycomb and wrongly accusing Tom Robinson and killing him. Police officers place a hunt for Bob and Mayella but when they arrive at their house, it is burning down to the ground and from the faint screams in distance, everyone knew Bob did this and took his children with him. A mob starts to appear at Bob Ewells house.
"Why do people do things like this Atticus?"
"Well honey, its hard to explain to you right now, but just know theirs a big world with some bad people in it, but you know right from wrong babygirl".
Firefighters arrive and try to go into the house and save some of the children but it was already too late, all that was left was bones and scrapes of burned clothing. A momment of silence is shed for Bob Ewells children and a faint sound of an ambulance is near as everyone reunites as the courthouse and see's Tom taken away.
"Daddy, I understand why we dont kill mockingbirds now" said scout.
