These 4 songs represent Othello and his betrayal by Iago, his love for Desdemona, him being a moor and his leadership.


Back Stabbers-by the O’Jays represents the betrayal Othello experienced by Iago. Iago acted as a true friend to Othello but was deceiving him for revenge. Although Othello was not aware of the full extent of Iagos plan to decieve him but he had his suspicions.

Crazy for you by Adele represents Othellos love for Desdemona in the play. He is truely and madly crazy for Desdemona and i feel the lyrics in this song show more in detail how he feels and he would be able to relate to this song.

Me against the world by Simple Plan represent Othello being a moor and constantly being judged for being different than everyone else in the play. I think Othello would listen to this song because the lyrics decribe a feeling of having the world against you and being judged by everyone.

Let it be by the Beatles is a song that represents Leadership and since Othello was a leader I think he would be able to relate to this very well because I think it would give him confidence to keep leading and guiding in the write direction.
