This is a good internet resource that has great insight with othello and his love with desdemona.

This is a good source for shakesphere to get a better idea on the characters and the plot in othello.

http://www.shakespearemodern.com/shakespeare-othello-plot-background.html
This internet source was great to learn more about the history of othello and how the story came about and the historical backround.

This link summarizes how The herald reads a proclamation declaring a night of general festivities to celebrate both the destruction of the Turkish fleet and Othello's recent marriage.

Raisin in the sun

In Raisin in the Sun the younger had to deal with racial issues and money problems. Personally iv never had to expierence what they did but i have had a friend that has. I was in about 4th grade and my friend was african american. Everyone in my mostly white catholic school looked apon her differently and i never u derstood why. In Raisin in the Sun I think the fact that the youngers had to endure criticism from a neighborhood they havent even moved into yet was so wrong. As for the money problems seeing walter blow his dads money and still have his family love and support him really touched me. In modern day society, famalies can get riped apart from financial issues. Walter had said at the end that him and his family were a very proud people, and indeed i agree with him. Ms.Younger and such a giving person for putting her family before her self was truely inspiring.

achieveing the american dream

Once iv achieved the American Dream my life would be perfect bliss drama and stress free, I would be living on the coast of Dominican republic in a house with a beautiful view of the ocean and i would have my dream job of being a lawyer. A typical day for me would be waking up taking my dog for a walk along the beach then coming home to get ready for work and have dinner with the family in the afternoon. My family and friends would be close to me and we would all get along. My house would be big but not extravagant. Achieveing the American dream of freedom and equality would make this life happy and enjoyable because it would go as i pleased and i wouldent have the stress of judgement or being uncomfortable with how society is.

American Dream

The first author defines the "American Dream" as a shared dream in which men and women attain "the fullest stature of which they are capable" without trampling one another. The second author differs his opinion by saying the "American Dream" is the idea of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and attached it to one's ability to move up the ladder. The two authors definition of the idea is different by the first authors definition is more ideal and about equality by that it doesn't involve the strenuous work of trying the attain money and a status like the second author infers. The first author uses history and facts to support their definition and the second uses moral and todays buisness life. I think personally the first author was more trustworthy and knew what he was talking about. He convinced me that equality is more important than money because the American Dream would not be realistic to be based on money and level in the community. I feel the tecnique the first author used with facts and history and research worked best because it got the point across more clearly and was convincing.
