genocide in kosovo
I was astonished when i read that this article was about The genocidal assault launched against Kosovo's civilian population in 1998-1999, they targeted mainly the earlier serb campaigns in Bosnia. From gender perspective, a strong trend was obvious in the expulsion of women, children and the elderly. Sexual assault was carried on the younger Kosovar women and the targeting of the"battle-age" male population for mass execution, detention and torture. These soldiers would kill their victims them mercilessly take them to improvised operation room and remove their organs for the organs trade and let them die on the operating table
I think the whole idea about kidnapping helpless victims from their home and killing them then taking out their organs in completely horrific. It makes me feel completely helpless that these people had no idea what was going to happen to them and not knowing where they were going was most likely confusing and terrifying. For these soldiers to actually take the families, im-prison them and then take the youngest and strongest for their own selfish use is so inconsiderate and heartless. These men had no type of sympathy for even the younger women, they would sexual assault them and take their kids for torture. As if the men had not already robbed them of everything they had, they still had the nerve to even take their organs for the national organ trade in Albania, leaving them to die after. This genocide in my opinion is extremely cruel and horrific compared to most.
